Hundreds of German fighters soared past the formation of B-17's taking out multiple B-17's. When suddenly the sky is covered in 88mm Flaks, some B-17s retreat, but the rest didn't seem to care, when suddenly, the formation of American B-17's broke apart because the Flaks tore apart the B-17's. The surviving B-17s open their Bomb Bay Doors nervously waited for the leader of the B-17's to drop it's bombs so everybody else can do the same, the leader of the B-17 formation drops it's bombs, the rest of the formation does the same, the planes are instantly lighter, lifting the B-17's, then the bomb bay doors on the B-17's close. Then, the formation turns and heads for home, when they finally think the are safe, a hoard of enemy fighters head for the surviving B-17s, hell rains down on the B-17's, and the bombers fought back. Eugene picks his targets, then, he starts to notice a gap in the formation getting bigger, and bigger, Eugene here's over the intercom '' We're being pushed out of formation!''. The Germans notice the vulnerability of Rikki Tikki Tavi and use it to take them down. Eugene's best friend in the ball turret says''mo,theirs a fighter heading form, Buddy, I'm done'' then, Eugene hears  a scream over the intercom from his best friend. then, the German fighter that killed Eugene's Best Friend comes up from the back of the plane right in front of Eugene's guns, Eugene sees this, and takes his best shot, and takes down the German fighter. A German fighter signaled to Eugene which gave him a chance to escape, and jump from the B-17, when a BF-109 pulled up beside Rikki Tikki Tavi, but someone on the B-17 was still alive and shot at the BF-109, getting rid if his chance to escape.Then, a BF-109 pulls up behind Rikki Tikki Tavi and fires at the tail, this sends Eugene flying backwards, he tries to get back into position and tries to fire, but its no use, his guns are jammed. Eugene tries to fix the gun, but only gets one gun to fire. Another German fighter slams bullets into the plane,and into Eugene. Gene tries to fire his gun, but both arms are hit, besides two broken arms, he manages to fire a few shots, before being shot in the chest, braking several ribs. Eugene manages to crawl towards the cabin of the B-17, then the metal starts to tare, he can feel the floor beneath him move, like he's being pulled backwards, he grabs onto anything he can to pull himself forward. Then, he sees the metal start to tare, and watches in horror, as he tries everything he can do to get out of the tail sectoin. Then, he sees the Rikki Tikki Tavi sink below him while he remains in the tail...Then, the tail brakes off the B-17, with Eugene still in it. In the nose section, navigator, Jessie Orrison and the bombardier, Donald Curtis, fire their guns at the countless German fighters soaring past them, to fast to even comprehend. Bullets strike the plexiglass hitting Curtis and pushing him back into Orrison, the plane turns nose down, Orrison puts a parachute onto Curtis, then the entire plexiglass nose shatters in front of them, sending them flying forwards the outside, jagged glass rips into Orrison's legs, he lets out a huge scream of pain, and pulls the rip cord on the parachute, then he sees the tail section of the Rikki Tikki Tavi, spinning uncontrollably with Eugene still inside. The spinning inside the tail was so violent, that it pinned Eugene to the side of the tail, as red mist filled his vision do to blood rushing to his head. Then, the tail slams into trees on the ground with violence that no man should feel. But Gene did...Gene wakes up and crawls towards the light with unbearable pain, but still crawls, but then, he falls...Miraculously, he finds himself on a forest floor. The tail section of the Rikki Tikki Tavi is hanging above him in the trees. But then, he hears voices, expecting to be killed, but instead of German voices, he hears French voices. He's dragged through the forest and a doctor puts a metal plate in his head, covering his exposed brain. His injuries weren't only physical, when recovering in the hospital, he would have dreams and nightmares about the incident.
